Equipment supplied includes glass lined steel culture tanks, RAS water treatment systems and pumps, fish handling equipment, process MCAS, water temperature control, gas balancing, oxygen and ozone systems.
Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC – Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery

PR Aqua was engaged in 2019 to design a RAS facility for the Freshwater FisheriesSociety of BC at their Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery to help support the growing need for lake and stream stocking of catchable size trout in the BC lower mainland and Fraser Valley. Goals
for the facility are the production of 36,000 spring and 36,000 fall catchables of approximately 225g in size. Construction of the facility began in 2020 and was completed in the summer of 2022.

The facility is comprised of three separate modules. A single tank using Partial Reuse Aquaculture System (PRAS) technologies, a group of 10 tanks using PRAS technologies and a large-scale full Recirculation Aquaculture System.

The William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery was built to ensure the continued and increased production of sport fish for Alaska’s south-central region.
The hatchery uses state-of-the-art aquaculture technology to raise King and Silver Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling.

The Ruth Burnett Sport Fish Hatchery meets the sport fish stocking needs for Fairbanks region by providing Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, rainbow trout, Chinook (King) Salmon, and Coho (Silver) Salmon.
Eastbank Fish Hatchery Reuse Pilot

The Chelan County Public Utility District (P.U.D.) was mandated to increase Chinook salmon production but faced limited water resources and permitting challenges. In 2008, a pilot program was devised to investigate alternatives to the traditional aquaculture methods and determine if those methods may be applied to help meet the P.U.D. program objectives.
